News and Announcements
On October 18th from 7-9pm at the BMO Centre there will be a presentation by Ontario Soccer on the Ontario Soccer System, which will focus on its development to date and plans for the future. All parents and coaches are invited to attend. Please see the attached brochure for more information.
The document 1539410601714_OntarioSoccerSystem_EMSA_FINAL_Reduced_1__1_.pdf was attached to this post.
Come out and join us on Monday, October 15 for our first indoor practice of the season. We will spend our winter at the Komoka Community Centre on Queen Street. Every Monday from 7-8pm. The cost for participation is $40/player.
Additionally, we will keep an eye out for possibilities (alone and with other teams) to get into the BMO Centre in order to get more touches on the ball and provide the girls with more time scrimmaging on turf.
Starting from Select Programs at U8 to high-performance teams at U18 and older, the Oakridge Soccer Club provides an opportunity for players of all ages & abilities to compete in the sport that they love and excel at. Supported by an extensive array of volunteer coaches, managers, trainers, and executive leadership team, the Oakridge Soccer Club provides community-based competitive soccer programs that support Ontario Soccer’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Models at all age levels.
Established in 1975, the Oakridge Soccer Club continues to be one of the longest standing clubs in the region. With each new year, there seem to be more ‘clubs’ or ‘programs’ offered in the greater London area, some fizzling within a short period of time. Oakridge provides a consistent approach to youth soccer development, regardless of the season. Our teams are successful due to the quality of players, families, and volunteers who support our direction.
Oakridge Soccer welcomes families from all over the greater London region. Our practice and game field are some of the best in the city with our participation fees being some of the most affordable across the region due to our business model as a not for profit, community-based, volunteer-managed soccer club. The Oakridge Soccer Club is always looking for new players & volunteers alike who are passionate about the sport of soccer and the opportunities it creates for player advancement, both on and off the field.
If you would like to be a part of a forward-thinking, inclusive, and positive learning environment, please consider joining the Oakridge Soccer Club executive board as a volunteer and help us shape our future. Our teams are always looking for support, feel free to reach out to an Oakridge coach, manager, or board member at any time.

We’ve finalized numbers and registered our indoor team.
Practices this winter will be held at the Komoka Community Centre on Mondays from 7-8pm ($40 for the winter). We encourage you to come to practices through the Winter regardless of indoor league participation!
Our fall practice sessions begin on Monday, September 10th. *If your schedule permits, please do join us even if you won’t be involved this winter.* We have some new girls coming out and it would be good for them (and us coaches) to be able to meet and play with the entire team. On the 10th we will be at Hazelden from 6-7:30. On the 17th, 24th, and October 1 we will be at Oakridge Secondary School on the east mini field (6-7:30pm)
Like last year, our assessments will be held towards the end of January/beginning of February. To avoid cluttering the inboxes of our summer-only players, our emails about winter practices/indoor league will only go out to those who are participating. We will not forget about you though! Please keep an eye out in late November and in December for messages about the Scrooge Tournament, assessment schedules, and Spring practices. Throughout the winter, if your daughter has a friend who is interested in joining us for practices or assessments, please do put them in touch with us.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions. All of us coaches are really happy with how this first year went and eagerly anticipate getting back out on the field with the girls next week.
